His commitment to party service has undoubtedly attracted the attention of South-Easterners who are not members of the APC party, including my humble self.
In any organization, be it political or social, it is always good to have members with a broader outlook. These members are not just committed to their individual desires but to the political parties or organizations, they serve. After my careful and objective observations in the last few years, one such member of the APC Party is the person of Dr. Richard Konteh (D-Unifier). He has demonstrated his commitment to his political party (the APC) on several fronts. His commitment to party service has undoubtedly attracted the attention of South-Easterners who are not members of the APC party, including my humble self.
In our political discussions in the southeast over the last four years, Dr. Konteh's style of politics has always become topical and has mesmerized many from the other side of the political spectrum. As a northerner, he has shown a greater concern for South-Easterners. He has been the only political figure that risked his life to tour the entire southeast to thank and sympathize with people after the 2018 general elections in the name of the APC party. I can confess it was during this tour I first heard the APC victory song publicly sung in the heartland of the southeast. To me and many others, it was like a dream.
From that time henceforth, even though he has faced a lot of harassment to deter his movement around the southeast, the Unifier (Dr. Richard Konteh) has always stood firm to seek the interest of his comrades in the southeast no matter their political leaning. He could care less to know whether you believe in his ideology or not. As long as you are "a party faithful," Dr. Konteh cares about you. He cares even for his political opponents. For such reasons, some of us have decided to vote for the APC party in 2023 under his leadership.
Dr. Konteh has always been there to fully represent the APC party in the southeast in terms of bye-elections and funeral services for party members, among other things. He is the only APC flag bearer aspirant that sent a team to reach out to party stalwarts in the southeast with material and financial support in the just concluded voter registration on behalf of the APC party. What a blessing for a political party to have such a selfless individual who puts the interest of his party first!!
It is very worthwhile to note that Dr. Konteh is consistent in his political prodigy across the nation. What he has done in the southeast, he has also carried out in the northwest. He has sent similar aid to the northwest to boost the just concluded voter registration process. His team exhausted the entire north and northwest, including the western area, with material and financial support to boost the just concluded voter registration exercise on behalf of his APC party. What a blessing for a political party to have such a selfless individual who puts the interest of his party first!
He has truly given new life to APC South-Easterners. His support and care have emboldened APC supporters to now publicly organize political meetings in any part of the southeast without little hesitations. This is amazing!
Dr. Richard Konteh (D-Unifier) is a unique political figure in Sierra Leone and a real force to reckon with.
