Being a leader who cares for progress and economic growth in Sierra Leone, he used the opportunity to meet with lawmakers, the business community and investors. One of these meetings was with Lloyd Kenneth Smucker, the American politician from Pennsylvania currently serving as a Republican member of the U.S. House of Representatives for Pennsylvania's 11th congressional district.
During the meeting, Dr. Richard Konteh emphasizes that International relations and trade continues to be a bright spot in Sierra Leone’s economy. And many international businesses and NGOs have enjoyed tremendous success in Sierra Leone. He mentioned that the international community has been a strong part of growth and progress in Sierra Leone. Dr. Konteh expresses his intentions to run for the presidency in the 2023 general and presidential elections in Sierra Leone. If he is successful, he will facilitate more international relations and trade, and he will make it very easy for investors to set up businesses in Sierra Leone.
