Banjul, The Gambia – As part of his ongoing Hope and Unity Tour, Dr. Richard Konteh, the leading All People’s Congress (APC) party flagbearer aspirant, made a remarkable visit to The Gambia, where he met with Sierra Leonean nationals and members of the APC diaspora community.
The visit demonstrated Dr. Konteh’s commitment to unity, inclusion, and international engagement. It served as an opportunity to connect with Sierra Leoneans living abroad, many of whom continue to play an active role in shaping the future of their homeland.
During the gathering, which drew hundreds of enthusiastic party members, Dr. Konteh shared his vision for Sierra Leone’s transformation — a vision built on harmony, opportunity, and shared purpose. He emphasized the diaspora's critical role in driving development and fostering global partnerships to support the country’s progress.
“Our strength lies in our ability to come together, regardless of where we are in the world,” Dr. Konteh said. “The Hope and Unity Tour is about building bridges, strengthening our bonds, and harnessing the talents and resources of Sierra Leoneans everywhere to create a brighter future for our nation.”
The event also offered an open dialogue for members of the APC community in The Gambia, allowing them to express their aspirations for the party, their concerns for the country, and their commitment to supporting a leadership that prioritizes unity, transparency, and development.
Dr. Konteh’s message of hope, inclusion, and forward-looking leadership resonated deeply with attendees, reinforcing his growing support base across the diaspora and among the party’s grassroots ahead of the upcoming national delegates convention in 2026.

Dear Lord, bless your son, Dr. Richard Konteh, and make him the favorite of the party people for the flag bearership and the people of Sierra Leone for the presidency in Jesus’ name. Anoint him with abundant grace and wisdom for the task ahead in Jesus’ name.
